 Patti Smith cancels Italy show after being rushed to hospital with “sudden illness

American vocalist lyricist Patti Smith had to drop a show in Italy this week after supposedly being raced to emergency clinic with a "unexpected disease".

The 76-yer-old artist was set to excite music sweethearts with his perform at the Duse Theater in Bologna on Tuesday (December 12), however the show was dropped at short notification.

Smith was taken to the Maggiore clinic in Bologna and put under perceptions in the wake of becoming sick, as per Italian news source.

In a press release, the Duse Theater stated, "With great regret, we inform the kind audience that Patti Smith’s concert will not be able to go on stage due to a sudden illness that struck the artist."

It added: " We apologize for any inconvenience this news may have caused. Our all the best for an expedient recuperation go to the craftsman."

Patti Smith, who's on an eight-show Italian visit, is because of play at the Teatro Malibran in Venice on Thursday (December 14), however it's not yet been affirmed assuming that the show will go for it. Her last presentation was at the Duomo di Siena in Siena on Monday (December 11).
